Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father came from a Jewish family. Ryder believes she is Jewish. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County to California, when she was just 7 years old. Here, they did not have electricity. Ryder who read a lot when she was 12, became a bookworm since Ryder had no access to television. Ryder began taking acting classes at the age of Ryder was 12years old at the American Conservatory Theatre. When she was fifteen, she landed her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her teenage years. She hoped that her career in acting would alter the way she dealt with bullying. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However, she was determined to pursue her dreams. In 1988, she received her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder had a successful role in numerous films. In 1993, Ryder was nominated two times for the Academy Awards.
