Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American businesswoman for more than 20 years. She is the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss is a California native Buss has been raised by an upper class family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon, and later the manager of Lakers as well as other companies. She felt abandoned emotionally when her parents separated in the year 1972. When she was 19, she was employed within the family's company. Later, she established an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers She was also the president of Great Western Forum. Buss inherited her share of the Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. Five siblings of hers inherited it through a family estate trust. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its headquarter in Los Angeles.
