Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born in Canada. She is best known to Canadians because of her character as an Canadian actress in the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea to whom you are enamores. Other talents she has include being a successful model and a dancer. Montreal born, she lived her childhood in Texas. When she was a young girl she began to learn diverse forms of dance. When she was 15 years old, she was competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained fame for her participation in Nuestra Belleza Latina, the Univision pageant show. In an episode from Telemundo's Telenovela Aurora, she played the role of a receptionist. Her debut film was the action-drama Tattooed Love in 2015. Toubia was nominated for her Shadowhunters performance, was awarded the Teen Choice Awards 2017-2018 for Choice TV Actress Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
